I don’t usually post on the weekend, but I got inspired by Karen’s post Growing Your Blog Audience where she mentioned posting a weekly/monthly recap to revisit posts that readers may have missed.
It has been an exciting month for Lace & Pearls. I have been focusing on providing more value in my posts. It’s been exhausting but a lot of fun.
How to Find the Perfect Red Lipstick For Your Complexion
I ventured into trying red lipstick this month and loved it! I cant believe how intimidated I was to try a bold red color but I am so glad I did. Stoplight Red by Wet n Wild is stunning and only cost a little over two dollars. After my mom read this post she purchased the color and is now obsessed. I’ve picked up several other Wet n Wild colors that I hope to share later.
Lace & Pearls turned one this month. If you blog or you are considering starting one, read both of these post to get inspired or stay motivated.
Stuck in a hair rut? Try this super easy style using an elastic headband. Your hair will look polished in 5 minutes.
I had a great time partnering with MaRae from The Always Fabulous to style similar looks from our closets. The first look was chambray and our second theme was black & white. You can see MaRae’s chambray and black & white looks on her site.
This month I went to Alaska for my sister-in-law’s wedding. The wedding was outside and absolutely magical. I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid and was gifted this fabulous faux fur stole.
I love lace (and pearls!) and all things girly. In this post I give tips on how to style lace. If you need some girly style inspiration give this post a read.
A big thank you to all my readers. I appreciate you guys taking the time to read my blog and leave comments. See you back here on Tuesday!

Brooke, you’re so sweet! Thank you for this message, it made my day. 😀
Happy Sunday honeybun! And what a great post! First of all, congratulations again on your blogiversary! Love visiting your blog and I can’t wait to see what the next year brings 🙂 Haha say the words “red lipstick/lippies” and you have my full attention! What a gorgeous shade! I wish we had Wild n Wet here! Have you tried Blake’s red shade by L’Oréal yet? That’s also a great one and one of my go-to lipsticks! 😉 That chignon hair tutorial looks amazing and I think it’s also perfect for weddings 🙂 Speaking of weddings, your stole looks amazing! Hope you had a great Halloween Asa 🙂 xo Vivian

Thanks Vivian! You really are the sweetest. I feel like I know you. I love our weekly chats. Glad you enjoyed the recap.
That’s a bummer that you don’t have Wet n Wild. When I picked up the Wet n Wild lippies I also got the L’Oreal one. It was the first red I tried and it was a little shocking. I haven’t tried it since but will give it another go now that I’ve adjusted to wearing a brighter color. I think I just wasn’t use to it. I love the color on you. You were the one who inspired my lipstick post. After reading about your favorites, it got me wondering how someone goes about finding the right shade for their complexion.
The chignon tutorial would be an awesome style for a wedding. Good idea!

Aww, thanks Vanessa! You’re always so encouraging. 😘💕
There is definitely something to sharing old post. I think people forget and look towards the next latest and greatest. When in reality, some of your old post may also inspire someone to bring someone else to your blog. You have to promote everything. Love this recap.
