Spring is finally here! But don’t let that fool you into thinking you can wear a sundress and sandals, it’s still very cold and wet in Seattle. With this type of weather a good pair of rain boots and an umbrella are a must. Even though my husband says no Seattle native actually carries an umbrella. Nonsense! If you spend any time doing your hair, then you better grab an umbrella to protect your tresses. Luckily me and Luba were able to take cover under this overhang and get a few photos.
Oh man you guys, I am a thredUp-aholic. I picked out this gorgeous Ralph Lauren cashmere sweater shortly after this purchase. If I could wear beige every day I would. I love the way it goes with everything. The flower corsage is super girly and can be worn in the middle as shown or pinned near the shoulder. The olive drab blouse was the perfect compliment to this cozy sweater.
I am in the process of paring down my closet. My wardrobe is fairly small, but I only like to keep what I love. I recently sent some stuff to thredUp. The payout was good and I have one item on consignment. Consignment items are chosen by thredUp and priced based off the market value. They then give you the option to adjust the price to your preference.
This Saturday I did a little online browsing and made a few more purchases at thredUp. Their weekend inventory is outstanding in my experience. I picked up two designer handbags (Marc by Marc Jacobs and Foley + Corinna), two sweaters, and one blouse. I can’t wait to receive them and feature on the blog. Since we just bought a house, I shouldn’t be doing any shopping, but for a fraction of the cost it’s hard to resist. Plus, buying upcylced goods is good for the environment. 😉
