Creative Ways to Style an Eliza J. Dress

December 30, 2018

I recently had the opportunity to gather with my blogger babes for a winter-inspired brunch. We used this event as an excuse to dress up and style items gifted to us from the dress brand, Eliza J. When we came together, I was totally wowed by the creative way in which each gal styled her pick and wanted to share all of our dresses (and jumpsuits) on this platform. Eliza J. Dresses graciously provided me with the dress featured in today’s post. All opinions are my own!

Most of my friends find that dresses are easy since it’s one piece, but for some reason I find them constricting and never feel quite like myself. I prefer to be casual and comfortable at all times but will dress up when the occasion calls for it. However, I found that adding a faux fur vest and cute leopard flats made the dress feel festive!

Dress: The Classic Girly-Girl

I love the vibrant color and waistband of this dress. Both are incredibly flattering and give a nice silhouette. For size reference, I’m wearing a 16 but find the dress a bit tight through the arms and shoulders. I recommend sizing up if you’re between sizes.

It’s excellent quality, and I felt glamorous carrying this clutch around. You will definitely see me styling it throughout the winter season. The necklace and bracelet are some newer pieces from my handmade jewelry line, Lace & Pearls Jewelry.

My good friend Jenn from Hello Rigby hosted the brunch and organized our collaboration. She picked out this Eliza J. flutter-sleeve black floral-print dress that suited her perfectly. The styling, however, blew my mind! I love how she added a cute pink faux-fur coat and sparkly black ankle boots—Jenn always look stylish and glam.

Ana Luiza from Northwest Blonde is one of my favorite fashion bloggers. Her style is always on point and totally aligns with my aesthetic. I want her entire closet! She is obviously pregnant and expecting her first child but still managed to rock this classic polka dot number with a gorgeous red coat and matching heels.

My good friend Megan from Diary of this Girl is known for her love of thrifting and taking style risks. For this collaboration, she went with a very on-trend navy jumpsuit with a tie waist. I love how she also wore a faux-fur coat and snakeskin heels. She also paired her look with this piece from the Lace & Pearls Jewelry collection.

Dress: For the Color Enthusiast

Sahily from Pretty in Pigment is all about embracing color and wearing it on the daily. I adore her bright fuschia dress, and it pairs perfectly with a yellow belt, beret, and suede booties. I also love how Sahily topped everything off with a cotton candy pale pink coat—it’s fun and innovative!

A special thank you to Chelsea Yaley Designs for making these leather and fur clutches for the occasion. Each girl had the opportunity to choose her clutch, and the fabric showcased each of our personalities. I love how we all chose something different.

The ladies featured in today’s post are also sharing this collab on their respective blogs. Visit each of their sites to see additional photos from the day and their take on our Eliza J. dresses.
