Colors from top to bottom: Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage, Lip Sheers in Terra and Twig, Color Intense Lipstick in 9 to 5)
Last year I searched high and low for the perfect nude lipstick. There are literally hundreds of options! Once I found the right color, I noticed that the formula was a bit sticky and it felt like I was wearing paint on my lips. Not good! So I decided to see what Beautycounter had to offer and my mind was blown! I recently became a consultant – you can read all about that here.
Not only do they have multiple lip lines (Color Intense or Sheer lipstick), but they are also clean and free of harsh chemicals. The formulas are incredibly hydrating and the color ranges are universally flattering for all skin tones.
The Lipsticks
Do you prefer full color or barely there? I like both pigmented and sheer lipsticks. See the difference between the two lines below.
Color Intense (pigmented with a satin finish) – vibrant and long-wearing. The best part though is the hydration. My lips have never felt so smooth and soft. I feel like I’m wearing a lip balm! Which is amazing since my lips tend to be on the dryer side. Each lipstick is infused with natural peppermint oil, making them smell and taste good.
Sheer lipstick (barely-there with a hint of color) – perfect for the girl on the go or someone who prefers a more natural look. The formula includes jojoba esters and carnauba wax to condition and hydrate lips and provides a polished sheen. I love the natural vanilla scent too. It’s my favorite! The shades are also buildable, use a light hand for just a hint of color or apply more pressure for more.
3 Nude Lipsticks That Look Good on Everyone
Twig (sheer lipstick) – this color is super sheer, and looks like my natural lip color. I can hardly tell that I have anything on. Not my favorite but if you’re someone who is looking for a tinted lip balm, this would be perfect.
Terra (sheer lipstick) – this one is similar to Twig, but with a tad bit more color. I would definitely recommend Terra over Twig so you can see the color.
Backstage (color intense lipstick) – the perfect nude and the most pigmented out of the 3. This is my favorite. It’s just enough color and is not too light or dark. I think this color would look good on pretty much everyone!
Final verdict – I will definitely repurchase the Color Intense lipstick in Backstage, but pass on the others, especially since I like a nude lip that I can ACTUALLY see.
Which nude is your favorite? Will you be trying any of these colors?
