Giorgio Armani – The Perfect Holiday Fragrance and Lip Gloss

November 18, 2016

I am super picky when it comes to fragrances. I find most of them to be too strong. The Giorgio Armani S矛 Eau de Parfum Intense is the complete opposite. The scent is luxurious. 馃摲鈥檚 by 聽Luba Kochubey Portraits

I am super picky when it comes to fragrances. I find most of them to be too strong. The Giorgio Armani聽S矛聽Eau de Parfum Intense聽is the complete opposite. The scent is luxurious. I love the undertone of聽blackcurrant-vanilla聽essence, combined with silky freesia, and chypre accord. When I first tried it, it was a bit on the stronger side (you only need one spray) but did dissipate after a while, lasting all day. This is a fragrance that I will continue to wear for a long time.

I am super picky when it comes to fragrances. I find most of them to be too strong. The Giorgio Armani S矛 Eau de Parfum Intense is the complete opposite. The scent is luxurious. The packaging is high-end and sleek, in a peachy-nude box. The bottle is just as stunning in rich black. I like how they used gold lettering for the fragrance name. 聽The look and feel of the fragrance truly聽embody the tagline聽a “tribute to modern femininity.”

Giorgio Armani Lip Gloss

I am super picky when it comes to fragrances. I find most of them to be too strong. The Giorgio Armani S矛 Eau de Parfum Intense is the complete opposite. The scent is luxurious. The Giorgio Armani聽Lip Maestros lip gloss is pigmented and has the聽consistency聽of a lip butter. The velvety texture is unbelievably聽smooth and super hydrating. Keep in mind that you only need a little product when wearing. I received color 400 and 201. Both are gorgeous colors that I will wear all season long. I’m excited to wear the 201 to a black tie event. With that said, the formula is messy if you touch your lips/face. Be careful of your teeth and clothing; it will bleed. If you apply a little gloss I noticed it less likely to get on your teeth. Be sure to do the finger trick for good measure.

If you have a beauty buff on your holiday shopping list, look no further than the Giorgio Armani luxury Si fragrance or the聽Lip Maestros lip gloss. I’m sure that you’ll have them smiling ear-to-ear.

Capture Your Natural Beauty With Pixi by Petra

I recently had the opportunity to try Pixi's four-part mascara application. This seems a bit much for daily use, but the end results are decent. If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you might know that I’m聽obsessed with mascara and voluptuous聽lashes. I’ve even contemplated lash extensions but can’t get past the hefty price tag and maintenance.

I recently had the opportunity聽to try Pixi’s four-part mascara application. This seems a bit much for daily use, but the end results are decent.

Step 1 – Prime & Protect

You can use the聽Black Lacquer聽Lash Primer聽as a base coat before mascara, afterward to set mascara, or by itself for a natural tinted look. I chose to use it as a base coat. The color of the primer is black. This makes applying mascara simple. You won’t need to spend time covering up the color like you do with white primers.

When I first tested this product, I applied two coats and the texture of the primer became crunchy. This made it hard for the mascara to take in step 2. One coat was sufficient for me.

Step 2 – Waterproof & Lift

The聽Lash Booster Mascara聽is meant to add volume with a “push-up” effect. The formula is smudge-free and waterproof. My lashes definitely looked voluminous after applying. Love it!

Step 3 – Lengthen聽& Tint

Fiber mascaras are interesting since you can actually see the fibers (they look like hair!). The Lengthy Fiber Mascara defines and lengthens. My lashes are long already, so I used it sparingly. I don’t want to look like a spider.

Step 4 – Define & Detail

The Lower Lash Mascara聽is water resistant聽and formulated for sensitive eyes. I did notice that the formula bled throughout the day and my eyes felt itchy,聽though聽it does do a good job of coating the lashes.

All of these products in tandem are hard to remove. My normal cleanser didn’t cut it. I recommend using makeup remover to get rid of any black residue.

Keep in mind that all of these products can be used on their own. You can聽also go the traditional route and use their Large Lash Mascara. Be sure to check out Pixi online or at Target.

Rejuvenate Your Skin With IQ Natural Skincare

September 30, 2016

IQ Natural is an organic skincare company based out of Portland, Oregon. They sell natural skincare and mineral makeup products.

I love supporting local small businesses and was recently introduced to聽IQ Natural. IQ Natural is an organic skincare company based out of Portland, Oregon. They sell natural skincare and mineral makeup products. The company has been around for 14 years and is ran by a team of 5. IQ Natural products use the purest ingredients (no chemical or fillers), and are never tested on animals. Most of the products are made in-house.

IQ Natural Clarifying Daily Care Set

I received the聽Clarifying Daily Care Set. This set includes a cleanser, toner, and lotion. The trio is formulated for acne聽and blemished skin, clearing blackheads and preventing breakouts. The cleaner is gentle on the skin and won’t dry it out. The toner is soothing and balances out the natural oils in your skin. The lotion is hydrating but does leave a shiny finish. I prefer matte.

I’ve been using these products for under a week and I can already tell the聽difference. My skin is clear and visibly rejuvenated. The only thing I didn’t like is the smell, which is chemical-like (to my nose). This is probably due to the natural ingredients.

IQ Natural Super Facial

I also received the聽Super Facial. This mask is like nothing I’ve used before. It simultaneously tightens, brightens, tones, and exfoliates. Ingredients include mud and seaweed. I could do without the smell, but the end results聽were聽glowy,聽fresh-faced skin. This mask might be too much for someone with sensitive skin. It left mine feeling a bit tingly.

IQ Natural Makeup

I really want to try their makeup next. So many gorgeous options. I am a big fan of finishing powders and I love聽Tarte’s Amazonian powder and Pixi’s Quick Fix聽powder. IQ Natural has a聽Setting Veil聽that I want to try. I might need to do a blog post comparing all three. I’m also adding聽this mascara聽and these聽lip glosses聽to my wish list.

Your Skin Will Glow With Tatcha

Tatcha is a luxury skincare line inspired by Geisha beauty rituals. Victoria Tsai, the founder,聽created this line after a chance encounter with a modern-day geisha.聽It just recently聽launched at the Bellevue Square Sephora and is also available online.

The Story Behind Tatcha

Victoria yearned for simplicity聽and authenticity after working many years at large corporations. Her journey east taught her that when it comes to skincare – less is more. After suffering from acute dermatitis, she learned what worked best on the skin. 聽She then created Tatcha.

I received聽the聽Polished Rice Enzyme Powder聽and the聽Pore Perfecting Water Gel Moisturizer.

The polish is聽for normal to combination skin. The product is a creamy, water-activated enzyme powder exfoliant and cleanser. It also has anti-aging properties. The packaging is beautiful. It comes in a beautiful box and the actual container is also聽nice. Since I have oily skin, I would love to try the聽Deep Rice Enzyme Powder.

How to Use the聽Tatcha Enzyme Powder

To use the Enzyme powder you simply pour about a half teaspoon into the palm of your hands and add water. Lather the powder into a creamy rich foam. Then massage into the face for 10-20 seconds. Rinse and pat dry. The Enzyme power is the second step in the cleansing process. Ideally, you would use the cleansing oil first.

The Pore Perfecting Water Gel is聽for oily skin and offers oil-balancing hydration. The ingredients聽are meant to balance and clarify skin while聽tightening pores within 28 days. The 23k gold particles impart a shine-free glow.

Victoria Tsai, the founder, created this line after a chance encounter with a geisha. What I like best about this line is the quality of the product, and how Victoria considered every skin type. I have oily skin and am always on the lookout for the best skincare to combat my shine. The products and packaging are gorgeous. I’m curious to see how my skin changes over time and if I see a noticeable difference in my large pores.

If you’re interested in trying out the Tatcha line, swing by the Bellvue Sephora or聽purchase online.

Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge Collection

September 8, 2016

Seattle-Fashion-Photographer(6of14)馃摲鈥檚 by 聽Luba Kochubey Portraits

If you’re looking for a great lipstick, the聽Make Up For Ever Artist Rouge collection聽is your answer. The moisture-rich consistency was so hydrating I was able聽to skip my usual lip balm. The color lasted all day and didn’t bleed.

Artist Rouge Collection

Seattle-Fashion-Photographer(3of14)The Artist Rouge collection comes in 45 shades, making it easy to find a color for every skin type. It comes in聽a聽matte or聽satin finish. There is nothing worse than finding a lipstick formula you love and only having a few color choices. You definitely won’t have that issue with this collection.

Seattle-Fashion-Photographer(9of14)These lippies go for聽$19 a pop.聽Worth it. A聽little bit goes a long way here. The packaging is sleek and expensive looking. One drawback is that the tube聽only lists聽the numeric color聽code. To get the color’s name, you need to look it up online. The colors I received are C502 (Taupe Violet), C404 (Passion Red), C211 (Rose Wood).

While I liked the other colors, I didn’t care for C502 (Taupe Violet). This shade is light purple and can be worn on its own or layered. I would pair聽it with another color. It’s a bit too pale on it’s own.

Have you tried the Artist Rouge collection? Share your thoughts in the comments.
