Spring Fashion Trend: Mixing Prints

April 9, 2019

Pattern mixing is making a comeback this season — from the runways to real life, it’s showing up everywhere. I used to feel challenged when mixing prints, but once I started experimenting, I realized how simple it can be! Check out this post for my full guide, and gain inspiration from the quote below:

“Even if you fall somewhere between preppy, polished, or sporty, getting dressed probably involves some level of layering prints and patterns — even all the minimalists out there. For its Pre-Fall 2019 collection, Louis Vuitton is banking on that fact, ushering in a fresh take on this styling trick with the help of 17 friends of the iconic fashion house. The goal: to show how no matter your style profile, you can embrace print-mixing in a fresh way for 2019.” Source

Holiday Outfit Idea: What to Wear to a Holiday Brunch

December 18, 2018

So what do you wear to a holiday brunch? Whatever you want really, but since my style is on casual side, I almost always wear a pair of jeans. If I'm attending a blog event, I feel most comfortable in denim and find I can dress it up or down, depending on the type of event.maurices graciously sponsored this Instagram post, but I fell in love with the brand and wanted to write a full blog post. All opinions are my own. Thank you, maurices for gifting me the clothing and accessories shared here.

Seattle has some of the best brunch spots—think Instagram-worthy aesthetics and delicious bites. Oh, and the people watching! The overall attire is super casual, but when your closest gal pals are fashion bloggers, you know they’re going to look glam!

Sometimes changing things up can be life-changing, or at least therapeutic! Simple things like changing up your morning routine, taking a new commute, or even a different workout can really lift the dust and rejuvenate the mind. The same goes for having a clean and organized closet.

Spring Wardrobe Challenge Outfit #8 – The Lightweight Sweater

May 25, 2018

How are we already toward the end of May when it feels like spring has just arrived? Although we have been lucky enough to have some warm days, we still tend to have some chilly ones throughout the season, so even though we are mid-spring, I can always use some type of lightweight sweater. The Lightweight Sweater

Other then the leopard print, this sweater is perfect for cooler days. The material is super soft but not overly warm for days that are damp or overcast. My suggestion is, depending on your climate, don’t pack away all of your sweaters. They’re great for early mornings and afternoons spent al fresco. Rosé anyone?

Today’s takeaway – wear lightweight layers that are easy to throw in your purse when you’re not using them. This sweater is perfect for just that! In the early morning, I can wear it over this camisole and by the afternoon I can wear the cami on its own (available in several colors). Since this sweater was on the shorter side, I added the cami for a little flare. The accessories are minimal, but I still managed to slip in this statement pendant and adorable cat purse!
