Celebrate Earth Day Year Round with These Ethical Fashion Tips

April 25, 2019

This month, I collaborated with thredUP, in partnership with Olivia Wilde and Conscious Commerce, on their “Choose Used” capsule collection. This collection, referred to as #chooseused on social media, features fun, thrift-related slogans on secondhand T-shirts. My Instagram collaboration was sponsored, but I felt compelled to also dedicate a blog post to the importance of ethical fashion—it is something I am passionate about.

If everyone in the US bought just one item used instead of new in 2019, it would save nearly 6 billion lbs of carbon emissions. That’s the equivalent of taking over half a million cars off the road for an entire year. Source

This is one example of how buying secondhand can have an impact. I am a big advocate for shopping secondhand and love looking for clothes at my local consignment shops and online at thredUP. You can find so many unique and like-new items.

New Year’s Wishes and Resolutions

January 4, 2019

People rarely take time to reflect on their accomplishments. Most choose to focus on their shortcomings and forget about their successes. I am also guilty of this and decided I'd like to start this post off by sharing my accomplishments. I encourage you to do the same, no matter how big or small a win—every bit counts in terms of getting you closer to your goal!Ann Taylor graciously provided some of the clothing featured in this post, but all opinions are my own.

Happy 2019! I can hardly believe it. I still remember writing this post and being completely candid on the topics of stress, weight, and feeling tired. For the past two years, my focus, or dare I say “New Year’s resolution,” has been to prioritize my health and fitness. You can read more about it here.

3 Must-Have Accessories You Need This Winter

December 31, 2018

Now that the holidays are **almost** over, I thought we should shift our focus and begin transitioning our wardrobe to cold weather—aka winter and share my 3 must-have accessories.Ann Taylor graciously provided some of the clothing featured in this post, but all opinions are my own.

“Gossip Girl here, your one and only source into the scandalous lives of Manhattan’s elite… And who am I? That’s one secret I’ll never tell. You know you love me. XOXO, Gossip Girl.”

LOL! I couldn’t resist. When I saw these photos, I was immediately reminded of Blair Waldorf from Gossip Girl. I just need to add her signature headband, and my transformation would be complete. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, head over to Netflix and add this series to your queue immediately! If you’re a Gossip Girl fan like me, share your favorite character in the comments of this post. My favorite character is Blair (obviously).

Now that the holidays are **almost** over, I thought we should shift our focus and begin transitioning our wardrobe to cold weather—aka winter and share my 3 must-have accessories. Full disclosure: on weekends, I rotate two of my favorite pullover sweaters and a pair of Ponte pants or jeans. When I’m at work, however, I like to look a little more polished.
