Carrie Bradshaw Moment

When I picture a tulle skirt, I cannot help but think theatrical or Carrie Bradshaw. Finding the balance between the two can be hit or miss. So what better way to honor Carrie then to pair this look with a classic chambray shirt. While the skirt takes center stage, the rest of the look remains simple yet fun.

The challenge of owning a tulle skirt is the styling aspect. You now have this great piece and no idea how to wear it. Pinterest has been helpful, allowing me to curate a board of creative ways to don a tutu.

Want a tulle skirt of your own? Then check out Space 46. This site was recommended to me by Nazneen from Nazneen Zainal. She is a girlie girl and wears a tulle skirt like a champ!

Kudos to my mom for taking these pics. Thanks so much!

Last week was my first day back in the office after the holidays. I can’t recall ever being away from work for that long. It was so relaxing. I now understand the importance of time off and can’t wait for my next vacation.

Going back to work was rough. I found it difficult to adjust to my normal routine. My sleep and workout schedule were completely out of whack.

I purchased this sweater a couple years ago. I normally wear it with cranberry cords and ankle boots, but decided to change things up and wear these rose cords with riding boots.

Hope you’re all having a good week. Thanks for reading.

Bows on Bows on Bows

I purchased these Kelly green bow print cords a few years back from J.Crew. This was when printed pants were on the up-and-up and I was hesitant to wear a pattern on my legs. Little did I know that printed pants would become a signature part of my style.  I think this trend has phased out but I still rock it.

It can be intimidating to wear a pattern on your bottom half, but it’s easy to pull off. Wear them with your favorite chambray shirt or blouse; or style it with a cozy sweater or cardigan. Keep the top solid, but make sure it has some texture. Add some accessories for the final touch, like the pictured tortoise shell jewelry.
