Last fall I was on the search for a pair of faux leather pants. A handful of retailers were carrying them, but none of them worked with my frame. Choosing the perfect pair can be tricky. The length is number one. I find ankle length to be the most flattering. It looks great with shoes of all varieties (sneakers, booties, heels). Once you figure out the length, you’ll need to make sure that the pair you choose has enough stretch in them for mobility. In my experience, some of these can be very stiff and constricting. When I saw these beauties, I had pretty much given up on finding the perfect pair. The length is decent and the fit is more like a jean. #comfortable
Now For the Remix: To style these pants I went with this purple sweater with a silk ruffle underlay. Last time I paired the sweater with jeans and brown boots. This time I went on the edgier side with my faux leather pants and black booties. I swapped the navy purse for a black cross body and added a scarf.
Fashion Tip: Faux leather pants are versatile and can pair with practically anything. Any top that you would normally wear with a black pant will work. If you’re going to the office, throw on a blouse, blazer, and heels. On the weekend, pair it with sneakers and a cozy sweater/sweatshirt.
